Turkey Black Bean Chili (Serves 6-8) This is one of my favorite chili recipes. I am partial to Minor’s Soup base whenever it is available. Here in Michigan, I purchase it at Gorden Food Service. The calorie count lowers if you use ground turkey breast rather than just regular ground turkey. Both work very well. Vegetable Spray 1. Spray Dutch oven with vegetable spray. 2. Brown crumbled turkey and onion in Dutch oven until meat is cooked. Drain. 3. Add tomatoes, beans, chilies, beef base or bouillon, garlic powder, chili powder and cumin. Stir well. 4. Heat to boiling, stirring often. Reduce heat to low and simmer, stirring occasionally, 30 minutes. |
